Hello Woodland Park!

I am honored to serve this board, district, and community as the new Woodland Park School District superintendent.

As a seasoned education leader with over ten years of education experience, following over 20 years of business leadership experience, I hope to bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to this role. I understand the unique challenges and opportunities of leading a school district. I have had the opportunity to work with diverse student populations and oversee a wide variety of traditional and unconventional school models.

As we begin this new chapter, I know we have many challenges to face, always with the primary goal of ensuring every single student is afforded the opportunity to realize their full potential. In the coming semesters, we will work together to address challenges and find ways to improve our schools. We will not just look at how we can incrementally improve what we are doing, but we will also explore how we can do things differently for greater success.

I understand that change can be difficult and that my arrival may cause some uncertainty. However, I want to assure you that my goal is to work together with the community to improve the educational experience of our students. Change can be difficult and uncomfortable, but it is always necessary for improvement. Our focus will be on heightened academic achievement. I am excited to work alongside our dedicated teachers, staff, and administrators, as well as with our students and families, to create a positive and transformative learning environment for all students.

I look forward to learning more about our community and what we can do better to prepare our students for college and career success. I am confident that together we will make Woodland Park schools the most sought-after in the region.

Woodland Park will deliver great education choices and access for every child. Please know that my door is always open, and I welcome your input and feedback.

Sincerely,

Ken Witt

Superintendent
