Summer School for Woodland Park School District

Combined Summer School 2024 | Located at Gateway Elementary

Dear Parents,

Our combined elementary 2024 Summer School is a 14-day program during the month of June that is cost-free for your child! The program will run from June 3rd to June 25th from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM, Monday through Thursday only.

Busing will be provided from Summit Elementary directly to Gateway Elementary for those in need. The bus/van will pick students up from Summit Elementary at approximately 8:00 am and return them to Summit Elementary at approximately 11:50 am. Please be aware there may be middle and high school students on the bus with our elementary students to assist families with summer school transportation. There will be no stops provided for student drop off or pick up except at Summit Elementary and Gateway Elementary.

We will be keeping class sizes small. Our summer school staff are certified Woodland Park School District teachers. The focus of our Summer School program will be literacy and math for students going into 1st through 6th grade. The program is intended specifically for students who are below grade level in language arts or mathematics, so students in the program will have similar needs. While immersed in quality literature, literacy students will work with strategies in decoding and comprehension. Math students will be using strategies to strengthen their skills with a focus on building number sense.

If you would like your child to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity, please fill out the attached registration and return it to your child’s teacher as soon as possible.
