Woodland Park High School prides itself in being anchored to standards of excellence in everything we do. Our faculty and staff work tirelessly to make every student’s experience at WP a good one. Meeting and exceeding standards are a part of our lives while in school or well beyond. Excelling academically, athletically, socially, or in the liberal and performing arts are where we set the bar for our students’ experiences.
At Woodland Park, we strive to deliver the most innovative approaches to learning, anywhere in the region. Here, we’ve built academic performance around standards-based proficiencies. Panther students will find themselves in charge of their own learning and completion of courses. Multiple pathways are possible to achieve completion of advanced curricula designed to prepare students for honest choices after high school. Meeting these high standards is not optional. However, the methods for meeting them are unlimited, and not time-based. Students at WPHS find themselves in the driver’s seat for course completion - with teachers as their advisors and facilitators, not their directors.
Parental involvement is critical for the success of our students. There are several ways you can help your child have a successful school experience. Attendance is crucial to student success. Encourage your child to be present every day and monitor his/her progress toward completion. You’ll find easy access to instant feedback regarding real-time grading, attendance and behavior (among much more accessible student data). Parents have an incredible amount of information at their fingertips each and every day. Parents can be granted access quickly to Infinite Campus’ portal by visiting our office and seeing one of our secretaries to receive a username and login information.
A school calendar of events is posted on our homepage, so be sure to view it for upcoming events. There are also quick links to guide you through the entire website. There is a directory of staff members with links to their email addresses so that communication with teachers is made as easy as possible. We look forward to having you as returning or new Panthers.
