Welcome to Woodland Park Early Childhood Center!

We serve children ages 3 to 5 at two locations in the district, Gateway Elementary and Summit Elementary.

For 2023 -2024 Pre-K families: The family application for Universal Preschool (UPK) is open! Families can sign up for UPK Colorado at www.UPK.Colorado.gov

Every child in the year before they are eligible for kindergarten is eligible for half-day (15 hours) and 3-year-olds (10 hours in the district) with a qualifying factor, are able to apply for UPK Colorado for the 23-24 school year.

Qualifying Factors:

  • Low Income (270% Federal Poverty Guidelines)
  • Dual Language Home
  • Special Education (IEP)
  • Foster/Kinship
  • Homeless


Gateway Elementary * 100 Panther Way * Woodland Park, CO 80863

  • 4 Full Day classrooms (8:10 - 3:05), $450/month
  • 2 Half Day PM classrooms (12:05 - 3:05) $200/month, 1 Half Day classroom has a Center-based program for children with significant language delays.
  • Each classroom has an Early Childhood Teacher and an Early Childhood Assistant with up to 16 students (ratio is 1 adult to 8 students).

Current openings: 1 Half Day AM spot, 1 Full Day spot

Summit Elementary * 490 Meadow Park Dr. * Divide, CO 80814

  • 1 Full Day classrooms (7:50-2:45) $450/month, with a Half Day AM option (7:50 - 10:50) $200/month
  • Each classroom has an Early Childhood Teacher and an Early Childhood Assistant with up to 16 students (ratio is 1 adult to 8 students).

Current openings: 2 half day AM or full day spots

Funding Options:

  • Special Education funding for students on Individualized Education Plans
  • CCCAP funding available through Department of Human Services


New for 2023-2024:

  • Full day classrooms with half day AM option
  • Half Day AM is Monday through Friday 3 hours a day
  • Gateway, Columbine, and Summit will all provide preschool
  • Each room can have up to 18 children with two adults
  • Half day $250/month, Full Day TBD

All students with an Individual Education Plan (IEP) will be served at Gateway. **Students with just speech articulation can be served at Summit and Columbine as well.

Gateway: 8:10-3:05, half day AM 8:10-11:10

Summit: 7:50-2:45, half day AM 7:50-10:50

Columbine: 7:45-2:45, half day AM 7:45-10:45

The After-School Program will be determined by parent need and staff availability.
