As with other districts around the region, WPSD needs to add time to our school day to ensure that we meet the state required hours for the school year. Minimal time requirements vary per level with more time required for secondary students. While we hoped to balance the demand across the District with our secondary virtual days, we now find the need for additional time in other areas. Given the fact that our bus routes run in coordination across the District, we worked with Durham to arrive at new school hours that will take effect starting Monday, Feb. 24th and run through the end of the school year. We appreciate your patience and flexibility as we strive to adjust to unpredictable Colorado weather and keep our students safe.
