Call for Nominations for School Board Directors

Regular Biennial School Election

Woodland Park School District Re-2, Teller County, CO

The Board of Education of Woodland Park School District Re-2 in the County of Teller, State of Colorado, calls for nomination of candidates for school directors to be placed on the ballot for the regular biennial school election to be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2019.

At this election 2 directors will be elected representing the following director districts:

District A [must reside within Woodland Park District Re-2 Boundaries] - (Four Year Term)

District C [must reside within the Columbine Elementary Boundaries] - (Four Year Term)

To be qualified, a candidate must have been a registered elector of the school district for at least 12 consecutive months before the election and must reside in the director district boundaries specified above. A person is ineligible to run for school director if he/she has been convicted of committing a sexual offense against a child.

A person who desires to be a candidate for school director shall file a written notice of intention to be a candidate and a nomination petition signed by at least 50 eligible electors who are registered to vote in the regular biennial school election.

Nomination petitions may be obtained starting Wednesday, August 7, 2019 through the Superintendent’s Office located at 155 Panther Way between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Completed petitions shall be submitted to Kelley Havin, the School District’s Designated Election Official, NO LATER THAN 3:30 p.m. on Friday, August 30, 2019.
